Why Dating App Experience?
Motivation
My personal struggles on the dating app journey made me want to help others in the same situation.

Existing dating apps don't cover the entire user journey.
Existing apps' problem

Three Big Pain Points

From the desktop research, online survey, interview, and observation, I revealed the user journey and identified three big pain points of users.

Insights
Throughout the research, I also determined three insights that could lead to solutions.

Insight #1
Users would be happy
to improve their matching chances with a potential compatible partner
based on their actual dating experiences.
“Matching in the app doesn’t necessarily mean matching in real life.”
(34 years old, man)

Insight #2
Users enjoy the adventure of finding partners
as if they were on a
treasure hunt.
“Even if I get tired of the app and stop using it, I finally start using it again.”
(28 years old, man)

Insight #3
Users won't believe suggestions from the apps without understanding the logic.
"Recommendations from the app are helpful, but I am always curious about the reasoning behind them."
(26 years old, woman)
